View Full Version : But it's "Tactical"!

Never underestimate the power of the word "Tactical".
It sells books, gear, weapons, and ideas.
Got a piece of merchandise that won't sell?
Paint it black, add velcro or rails, double the price and call it "Tactical".
Want to be thought of as a guru?
Put the word "Tactical" in front of whatever your teaching, double the price and you're there!
Are you an overweight couch potato?
Buy yourself something "Tactical" with plenty of Velcro and zippers, Viola instant Kenau Reeves!
I swear if I see one more BB Gun with rails, I'm gonna hurl!
Hell, just Google tactical and see how many gun shops and crap dealers you come up with.
Heck, post a link, the person who finds the most outlandish "Tactical" gizmo gets to be called the Tactical Googler (damn that sounds nasty) till someone comes up with something worse!
Here's my submition.
Can you believe it, "Tactical" magic.

I know a guy on another forum (which will remain unmentioned here) who would probably win that title hands-down.

"...one more BB Gun with rails"
Dear Lord you have got to be kidding! A BB Gun with rails
A quick google search, which I am kind of off now due to their knuckling under to the Chinese, produced so many hits that wading through to find the most rediculous...well rediculous!
I did find one called Blacksburg Tactical Research Center, makers of role playing games.
www.btrc.net/
The DID have a link on their site to something called "Macho Women With Guns" which I'm guessing is a game of some kind and not a dating service. But you never know.

Gunslinger, the best part of that link is this statement:
Selected by a multi-national roster of defense and law enforcement organizations, tested and proven through a demanding quality control regimen before leaving the factory, and proven in the field in countless defensive confrontations.
A BB gun???

The most overused word in shooting circles "TACTICAL". Just paint something "Weber" (Weber as in BBQ black), say that some non-descript "spook central", unmentionable, If I tell you I'll have to kill you organization carries it, and you got some poor sucker dishing out mega-bucks for it!
Wow! Sounds like a plan!!
Oops, I forgot it's already been done!

High speed tactics is a 1.00-1.18 draw to first shot, and a .20 split to the second shot, ----------------------------------------------------------------------

I actually had considered building a gyroplane at one point, but decided against it when I discovered just how tightly the FAA (aka Gestapo) restricts the sort of fun you can have with one.

Excuse stupid question, but English is my second language. Can somebody, please, explain the "High Speed Low Drag" line? I know it reffers to Special Forces, but the origin?
Good bye, off to take tactical nap.

I'll let Steve2267 respond to that question, since he's the rocket scientist of the bunch :)

I'm more interested in that Perrin Bowie and custom "Drawpoint" River City Sheath rig myself.
Nice set up, they are as fast to reverse "point" as you're likely to see.
