Recently picked up this little gem from another sites sale section for about 60% of it's value with two holsters [ one custom made belt holster and the other a seecamp wallet holster ].

I've had 4 now over the years. Always regretted getting rid of them, so here I am with another at incredible savings over what I've paid in the past. Wasn't even looking for one, but the price could not be passed up on this one.

It's port side carry in the front pocket with one of the pocket holsters I kept for these guns from the past. I carry it daily now and really bought it as it is quite a bit smaller than the Keltec's, NAA's etc. so it hides that much easier when real discretion is in order.

I know the 32 isn't the best round to start with for SD, but this one in the hand in my pocket could very well allow me to get one or two on someone while I'm drawing the full size SD handgun from the starboard side. 7 rounds of 32 on tap, trigger like a DA revolver, simplisticity at it's finest.

The Seecamps are known for their extreme reliability and function, more so than any other small semi auto on the market that I'm aware of anyway. Here's a picture of the Seecamp, it's from Seecamps site.

Anyone else carry/have one of these little guns? Thoughts on them?

Second pic size comparison of Seecamp vs the Smith and Wesson J frame I found from another forum. Really shows the difference.

I worked i n Loss prevention for 6 years. We had to fight the shoplifters a lot,tho most of the time they were ,in reality, just trying to get away.No weapons allowed, but I carried a 32 Seecamp all the time. No one was ever the wiser. It was about the only option I had.
Mine worked well. That's the job that finished my knees off for good from crashing to the blacktop in tackles.
I had one of the first in .25 acp before the .32's came out.I like them a lot. I sold my 32 to a guy who hounded me for it for years, and sold it at a scalpers price. He was willing to pay so I had no guilty feelings. Kind of wish I'd kept it now.

I recently picked up a Kel-Tec P-3AT. I had tried this model a couple years ago and simply put disatisfied with its performance. The pistol would jam EVERY 3rd shot. I finally took it back and purchased a S&W 638. The Kel Tec size was still nagging at me so after researching I found the 32 caliber was much more dependable. I purchased one and carried it for a couple years until the wife decided she would like to upgrade from her NAA 22 mag. I gave her my P32. This left a void in my carry plans. I'm watched closely at work and our policy is absolutely NO firearms on the premises. You all know what that means. We have had a few disgruntled associates lately who were being treated for bipolar behavior and had to be terminated. They have vandalized some of our vehicles and in one case the associate came back into the building 5 times. I finally had to have a heart to heart with the boy. Anyway I'm getting off track here.

What I needed was a deep concealable weapon that could not be spotted easy for just this type of emergency. The Kel Tek again came to mind. After some soul searching I decided to again try the 380. So I purchased one over the weekend and have shot about 100 rnds through it both Sellier and Bellot and Federal Hydro shoks. Not one malfunction has occured. I think I have a winner here. At 18 yds I'm able to shoot about a 5" group. Good enough for the size of the weapon considering the circumstances that I'm forced to carry in. It shoots to the left some that could be me though I doubt it ,easily corrected though. Below is the group fired at 18 yds. If anyone has some idea's on ammo I'd appreciate the input.

brownie hopes its a newer model, at lest you will have a couple of ammo choices with it.

I like you have owned the little Mouse roarers in 25acp, 32acp and the 380acp, now all of them are gone to those whom needed them.

Yup, newer one.

Ammo choices are a little more diverse with the recent ones as you suggest. I'm carrying the Speer Gold Dots in mine, which is not Seecamps first choice on their web page. Fortunately the shop has them in stock so I didn't have to order them when I got it in.

The SGDots work fine in this one, put 5 mags through it before carrying it and they ran it just fine. PITA to take apart and put back together but I don't plan on shooting this one often anyway.

Jim,

I had one of the first gen P3AT's and the design flaw with the weaker extractor kept me from keeping it because I too had the jams often with it. Then I got one of the newer ones and it ran great until my Father decided he really wanted it....So now I need to get another one! I'm sure Brownie told you about the "Fluff and Buff?" When I get my next one I'm going to break it in right!

Good little guns for the $$

They really are a nitch type gun. They fill a certain need that is hard to find in firearms. It truely is a gun you can take anywhere. This eliminates the excuse that we all use to not carry sometimes. I just wish the manufacturers would make sure they shoot straight. I had the same problem with my 638. First excuse was its a belly gun. Well what the f#$%k does that mean!!! I had to shoot a 20 yd group and tell them how to fix it. Its dead nuts on now. I'll get the Kel Tek on also. You never know when you may need all the accuracy the pistol is capable of.

Thats why I've started carrying the niche guns like the seecamp, they fill a void of some kind. No matter how fast you are on the primary on your side you have with you, a gun in the hand is always going to be faster than a drawn weapon from a holster.

I've worked at the gun shop for a year now, and I've seen times when someone or a few people in a group just didn't look right to me, based on observations of them exiting a vehicle in the parking lot or entering onto the sidewalk just before coming into the store [ which most employees don't watch for the most part ].

Sometimes you get busy behind the counter and can't keep one eye on the entrance, but that has led me to forethought about the possibilities I may face one day behind the counter.

It's become obvious, to me at least, I need to be able to look relaxed with my hand/s in my pockets and have a hand on a gun. It's easy to put a hand in your pocket and have a gun in hand when they approach the counter. It's not a matter of IF as it is a matter of WHEN.

If I don't work through possible scenarios and make plans that reduce my risk in those scenarios, I've failed miserably if it goes south when I could have had forethought and been more prepared for the time if and when it happens.

Thats led to my carrying a small pocket auto ALL the time. If I'm going to carry it at the shop three days a week, I might as well carry it ALL the time, one day it may be of benefit on the street to seriptitiously put my hand in my pocket and holding a gun as well.

And here I thought I was done with all this nonsense when I stopped working the streets and carried a small auto or jframe where my hand could be on it walking the streets in the worst of areas investigations took me into regularly. Guess that's out the window hey:rolleyes:

Anyway, I'm glad to see others see the benefit and share the same mindset here and I'm not just paranoid and suffering from OCD in this regard:D

"Fluff and buff" on the Kel-Tecs and links to the "how to's" were discussed here just about a year ago. :D

I swap out between the Kel-tec, the Seecamp and the Kahr PM9 in that role of "gun in pocket" All three operate the same way, point and clicks so it doesn't matter which one I choose in the role on any given day.

SPG,

You're lucky you got that one back:D

Good talking with you last night, though the gig didn't work out this time, the one you spoke to now knows who to call for that type of work for the royals.

Appreciate the quick response on availability and effort, talk to you soon.

Yes, I own and carry a Seecamp .32 acp. I've had mine (bought it used) for almost a year now. I live in Florida so sometimes it's hard to carry my 1911 or HK USPC concealed. When that is the case, the Seecamp is my goto gun. It literally vanishes in my front pocket. I bought 5 boxes of the old style Winchester Silver Tips from a Gun Store that was closing down for SD ammo. I practice with Fiocchi. Absolutely ZERO malfunctions. I wish someone would make a mag extension with a finger ramp for the Seecamp. I have big hands and the extension would be awesome.

What's a decent street price for a good used Seecamp .32 these days? Regarding DJ's comment about a "later" or "more recent" one... what does one look for (or avoid) in a Seecamp .32? Only ones with serial numbers greater than such and such?

How does the Seecamp compare to the NAA Guardian .32? Also, is it significantly smaller than the Beretta Tomcat?

Seecamp should be able to give you a serial number range on this one. You can call them anytime, it's a small shop.

The seecamp is smaller than the guardian and smaller than the Beretta. Though the other two [ Beretta and NAA ] are both fine pistols, the seecamp is really considered the cadillac of these types of weapons, utterly reliable and as small as you are likely to see in the 32 caliber.
