Anyone own one of these? www.hideawayknife.com

If yes, how do you like it?

There's a lot of controversy over this company in the last year. The lady who started it resigned with backorders that were not and have not been fullfilled to date.

Someone recently took over for her, and they are making good on the orders presently, though there is still a lot of resentment in the buying community.

Nice little neck knife, not my cup of tea for a "necker", but others are pretty happy with them.

I have done a few of polls in other forums about the La Griffe vs the HAK. The La Griffe seems to get the nod. I found the HAK hard to access. I also don't like neck knives since they swing and print.

mercop,

I have two La Griffes, they're my preference in a necker but I don't wear them presently. On and off at best with the LG but nothing in the last three years for neckers. Sometimes I carried one in my front pocket as well.

I was looking at the hideaway as more for waist band concealed carry vs. around the neck. I have a Spyderco Ronin which I love but the sheath (unmodified) is not comfortable for concealed carry (flat to the body). I like the La Griffe because of the size and finger hole but haven’t seen it with a waistband style clip although I’m sure this could be added on. If you know of something that would be comfortable at the waistband (inside) that can be clipped vs. looped through a belt, let me know. The smaller the better, claw style or straight blade is fine; finger loop is preferred to prevent the small blade from cutting my own hand.

Only know one gentleman that carry's one, and his attached to the back of his ID card , nice set up and he likes it.

have to admit i am beginning to pay more attention to "neckers", firearms are just about over for me when it comes to handguns, and knives among the deputies and court staff don't seem to get any second looks, and the walk to and from the parking lots is long and has way to many hide-holes
