What loads do you prefer in .32acp? Do they get a minimum of 12" penetration?

It sounds like Winchester Silvertips are one favored load. Any others? Golden Saber? Ranger-T? I don't think, but could be mistaken, that Federal offers their Tactical HST or Tactical Bonded in .32acp. Would you carry solid FMJs for penetration?

Thx.

Steve, if you do a search there are a couple threads that talked about this. I recall DJ and some others weighing in on this. You also have Docs thread comparing manufacturers in his ballistic tests. For hollow points I think the Corbon is the hottest and solids Seller and Bellot are hard to beat.

I use the fmj Sellier and Bellot 32's in my KelTec [ it's hotter and a just few grains heavier ].

Not being guaranteed expansion from any round, the mouse calibers need all the help they can get to penetrate to the vitals, and the hotter 32's I use will give me a little more penetration reliably to damage organs.

You get better feeding reliability with ball, but in some guns like the Kel's, you have to watch "rimlock" in the mags which has been documented in that particular gun and I believe I read the ball loads negate the possible rimlock issues as well.

Steve,+1 on the heavier S&B solids. That would be my choice in that caliber for the reasons Brownie mentioned.
