Nice list Ken.
Those all keep one shooting more for less expenditure. Who can argue with the logic there.

Ken,
How about a more in-depth review?
I'm needing kits for the AR and 1911, as well as some Air Soft.
How are they working, any issues/foibles pop up?
What about cleaning? I've heard that there could be a potential for fouling/plugging the gas port on the AR.
Accuracy is really a secondary issue for my needs as the pistol kits will be used mostly for QK, and I will, also, be using an SP 1 so the rifling twist is close enough for 22 lr.
Brownie, and anyone else, jump in too. The more the merrier.

Lonnie,
I run 3 KWA airsofts in classes, two g17 and a g18 with selector switch [ I get the g18:D. They've been knocked out of students hands onto the ground in FoF training with no worse for wear. Just pick em up and wipe em off, continue with the exercise. I performed quite a bit of research on the airsofts before deciding which brand/make/type were holding up best from others experiences and the KWA seems to get the nod over any others by most people for it's performance and "heft" which more replicates it's true counterparts over the others. I'd recommend them to anyone, they run very well at about 320 fps.
I've seen and shot the KWA 1911 [ two different ones in a Tenn class ] and neither ran as well as the glock models for some reason. I was going to buy a 1911 airsoft for the training but after seeing how both ran against the glock models, decided against it.
I purchased an Advantage Arms .22LR kit for my Glock 17's last year for training classes. I've used it twice, extensively in one class. It runs real good on Remington and acceptable with blazer, but it does not want to be fed Federal anything [ causes the gun to not cycle the slide due to their lower velocity ]. Of course, the directions that came with the gun spell out very clearly not to use Federal 22's, and I'd already purchased 3 cases [ 16,500 rds ] of Federals from Wally world before I knew that:rolleyes:
After my own research, I decided to not go with the ceiner's 22 conversions after too many tales of it being finicky, but again that could be just an ammo sensitivity issue as well which the reviewers didn't notice or mention.
JMusic is also using the KWA's as well if I remember correctly. He's got a few of them including a g18 with the selector switch for full or semi, and he's put more rds through his than anyone I know of with no issues at all.
I have a couple Glock KWA airsofts. They run well but don't practice emergency reloads with them. The mags are quite heavy and if they fall on the plastic feed lips they will break off! I accidentally dropped a mag... $40 bucks down the drain.

Mt report on my gadgets:
#1-Ciener Kit for AR's---- broke in with MiniMags and now run Federal Bulk Pks. Have several thousand rds through a Colt Sp1 and a couple of Bushmaster Carbines. Remington bulk Pks. don't work well.
Never had any gas port problems but run a couple of 5.56's after each range visit.
The Colt seems to be more accurate(1/12 twist) but not very much so. the Bushmasters have 1/9 twists. It could also be because of the shorter sight radius of the carbines.
In all of them with the sights set for 62 gr. 5.56, the kits shoot to the right about 1- 1 1/4 at 25 meters but at the same elevation.
#2- Ciener Kit for Commander size pistols( Colt,Griffon and Norinco). Did the same as with the AR Kit. Again Remington doesn't work well. Kit works great on all 3 frames.
#3- Advantage 19/23 Kit. Same treatment as the Ciener's except for Federal ammo. Remington works great.
#4- Advantage 20/21 kit in G21-- same as the above kit.
Airsoft-- Have two KWA G19's and a #3 on the way.
#1- Bought new and now have about 7,000 rds. through it and have had no problems.
#2- Bought off E-Bay used and have over 2,000 through it with no problems.
I use Coleman Propane in the pistols and get about 6,000 shots from a bottle.
I can fill the mags with a 6 sec. charge and get over 3 mags full of shots (20 per mag) per charge.

To Ram, you can get parts from KWAUSA for both pistols and magazines.
You can replace the feedlips on the mag.
You can also buy mags at $24.95 at AirSplat

If you want a KWA Glock AirSoft, you had better get it now.
KWA is having legal problems with Glock and have stopped production on the Glock AirSofts.
KWAUSA has removed them from their site. There are still some in retailers hands but they sell fast. The G19's are really hard to find. I guess it is because they have the best reputation among AirSofters.
I found a Brandnew one on E-bay and got a good price on
it and now it is on the way to me. That makes #4:D
There are some used ones on there now but I think I have enough to last the rest of my life.

The above link is where I've gotten mine. They show the g19 out, but g17's in stock as well as the g18's presently. For training, I don't see much difference between the 19 and 17 and if there's a chance they could be no longer made due some Glock induced court constrants, I'm going to have to buy 5 more pretty quick here.
Looking to the future if they are discontinued begs the question, will the parts be available down the road?

On a couple of the Airsoft forums, people are saying KWA will keep parts in the supply line. The Glocks are their best selling line.
They are also saying Glocks will be back but with some minor changes.
On KWAUSA,they have exploded diagrams and part numbers and prices. I assume they keep a full line of parts.

Ken,
Thanks for the info, the dorks at the local airsoft shop just want to sell mags.
If Glock is giving them problems, then Glock ought to back off. They're doing Glock a favor in a roundabout way.Is the old man getting grouchy?

The story going round on some forums is that Glock designed their own AirSoft pistols based on Glocks but never put them on the market.

We bought a couple of KSC G18C models from PrecisionAirsoft that we use for training on our tactical team.
They work well for our force-on-force scenarios, and can be used in places that paintball cannot.
A GREAT piece of kit, and Precision has been good to deal with.

I now have over 10,000 BB's through my #1 KWA G19 and it's still going strong. I have had no problems at all with it.
The others I bought for spares are just setting around not being used except for the one I gave my grandson.
I have a KJW G23 that I have shot a little but not much. I broke a part on it before I had a few hundred rds. through it and had to get the replacement from overseas. KJW was easy to work with and sent me a second part for free.
I just came into a WE 1911 and it seems to be a good AirSoft but still not in the class with the KWA Glocks.

I gave two KWA 92's, one a heavy and the other a PTP. I busted locking blocks in both and easily got parts from KWA-USA. They apparently had the same problem as Beretta with locking blocks, which they have now fixed as I haven't had any problems since replacing the with the newer version.
