Bought a NIB Sigma about 2 months ago and have put about 425 assorted rounds down the pipe. Had 7 light strikes and 2 jams, 4 different ammo manufacturers, (cheap old WWB seemed to fair the best) both FMJ and JHP and both mags were involved in the FTF's. Any suggustions or should I send it back to S&W. This is my carry weapon so dependability is important.

ZO6Vettever,
Welcome to the forum, glad you found your way over here. Hope you enjoy the knowledge and shared information found within.
My suggestion is to save your pennies and trade it for a glock [ which the gun you own was designed off ].
If you decide to keep it, I'd make it a range gun, not something to depend your life on with should you need a gun. I've heard far too many horror stories about the Sigmas to ever trust one with my life.
Not trying to discourage your purchase, but it's not the best gun for self defense [ where reliability is concerned ] and for not much more, you can get a very reliable glock 19 which duplicates the size and caliber in the Sigma.

I sent it back to S&W, should have it back in a week or two and I will give it another chance. If it will fire three or four hundred rounds without a malf I'll be a happy man. The only issues with the 3rd gen Sigma's I have heard are long and hard trigger pull. Reliabilty doesn't frequently seem to be an issue. From what I have read on differant forums is when S&W gets a firearm returned to them it is gone over top to bottom and fluffed and buffed to perfection. If it doesn't work out a Glock could be in my future.
