Can anyone point me or send me the above mentioned rules? I am trying to promote this disciplines here but there are no rules yet, so it is the obvious start. Any info much appreciated.

Most IDPA clubs interested in using SG/Rifle will have side stage(s) set up, usually with a loaner gun and ammo.

I helped run an IDPA club for a while, and we handled the issue by having an "Outlaw" equipment division. Any safe firearm could be used, and the competitor shot the COF with everyone else. (scored seperately of course) If you do this, be aware you will have a more in depth unload/show clear phase with long guns.

USPSA has such rules...which include multi-gun stages, I believe.

IPSC also has such rules, but they may be a bit tight.
