How many carry a highcap semi-auto daily?
Make/Model/caliber/number of rounds available without mag change?
Carry an extra Magazine with the hicap?
Do you use magazine extensions like the +2's for the glocks?
Why do you choose to carry that particular gun [ mindset behind your choice for highcap and caliber].
What maker/load do you carry and why?

My regular carry gun is a G17 (17+1).
I carry a spare sometimes, but not always. The spare usually has a +2 extension on it (7151). Ammo is 147 Gold Dot.
I carry it because it fits me well.
I'm bigger on the ability to reload fast moreso than real high capacity, although I do carry my old G19 occasionally.
More often than not my carry is a G30 in winter in a Rosen belt slide or VMII,depending on my dress. Occasionally replaced by a G29 in the same holsters. 1 spare mag most of the time.
Light summer clothing,a G26,again with 1 spare mag, usually. Standard mag in the pistol,+2 extender on the spare.

92FS with a level I by TJ, 15 + 1
Carry 1 or 2 spare mags when in the "city"
I like full size weapons, the 92 has a number of features I like and I shoot it good for me.

G19 with 14 rds in 15 rd magazine, chamber empty, mexican carry (no holster). No spare mag.
Or a S&W 642, mexican carry, no spare ammo.
I am only concerned with having a gun, everything else is gravy.
And before anyone asks why carry the G19 chamber empty but revolver fully loaded, the answer is I don't know I just do.

Agalb-
Do you carry the chamber empty because you not carrying in a holster which covers the trigger guard?
Personally, I would STRENUOUSLY recommend changing that mode of carry. In a personal defense setting, which is a reactive arena, when you need to shoot, you need to shoot NOW. The notion of chamber-empty carry is an archaic military doctrine, and one intended for those who:
a) have little or no training or safe handling ability;
b) have the time and ability to make the weapon ready to fire before use (i.e. are acting proactively, rather than reactively).
As far as the cost of a holster, a very good carry holster can be had for as little as $10- the Glock Sport/Combat holster, which is the one I use almost every day, and a couple of other knowledgeable folks here use as well.

Yes, when I carry in a holster (usually before/after a match) I carry chamber loaded.
Cost is not an issue, I carry mexican style because it is much more concealable and comfortable (for me) than any holster.
Given my preferred carry method, I am more comfortable carrying with an empty chamber.
Instead of playing the "what if" game, I do my best to simply have a gun. That act alone puts me in a good position to defend myself, everything else will be determined by my level of training and mental preparation.

Regular carry: G 26, magazine with +2 extender, occasionally 1 spare mag.
When something says me it's to lite then carry G 17 and spare mag with extender.
Chamber always loaded.
No holster carry. A belt works pretty well as a cover for the trigger guard. And with my conditions gun is better concealed ond I feel much more comfortable in daily carry.
Ammo is Lapua - Mega Shock and FMJ
